Welcome to the Department of Chemistry at Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur. Established in July 1960, the Department was founded with the vision of building a degree college based on Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of character and nation-building. Under the guidance of Swami Lokeswarananda and Sri Bikash Chandra Sanyal, the Department grew with the recruitment of talented educators such as Prof. Deb Kumar Mitra and Dr. Pratul Chandra Rakshit. Despite early challenges, the faculty has consistently excelled in teaching and research. With the introduction of a P.G. course and autonomy granted in 2008-09, the Department continues to flourish academically.
